WHEAT BREAD IS NOT... WHOLE-WHEAT BREAD

You know white bread is a nutritional mistake, so you grab brown bread.  Careful, whole-wheat bread is what you want. It's full of fiber because it's made from the entire wheat kernel--germ, bran, and endosperm. The label should say "whole-wheat," and the first item on the ingredients list should be whole-wheat flour. Breads labeled simply "wheat bread" usually are made with about 75 percent white flour and 25 percent whole-wheat flour.  It is important to check the ingredients.  The pies we handed out were not “whole wheat” but they were delicious “whole apple pies”

(By the way the pies we handed out are not whole wheat, but they were whole pies!)
